The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 6 “Smoky Mauve” is a silhouette historically tied to victory. Inspired by Michael Jordan when he claimed his first championship in 1991 while wearing the Air Jordan 6 “Black Infrared”, it represents the moment when the work meets the win. But this time, the win feels different. “Smoky Mauve” is the color of quiet confidence. Not loud. Not hype. Not trying to prove anything. A color tied to introspection and transformation.

Rich mauve suede wraps the upper in texture and depth, while the quilted lining inside provides refined comfort. The insole is cushioned for support. Details include a translucent outsole for a sleek finish, waxed laces for enhanced durability, and subtle A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand co-branding woven into the tongue. Every detail, from craftsmanship to material choice, reflects thoughtful intention. The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 6 focuses on narrative over status, honoring construction as much as appearance.

Inside the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 6 “Smoky Mauve” box lies original artwork by Jammie Holmes. Not a graphic, but a piece of art placed where only the owner will see it. The work, titled Malcolm, captures a young man attending one of Malcolm X’s speeches to the Black Muslims, his face caught between exhaustion and hope. Through that gaze, Holmes explores transformation and  how a single voice can inspire courage, vision, and change. The accompanying apparel capsule translates that same ethos into form. Centered on expression of confidence, each piece is designed for presence, not performance. As part of Built For This, A Ma Maniére will host The Unboxing, an intimate pre-launch experience taking place across all A Ma Maniére locations. Each evening serves as both an exhibition and a reflection, inviting guests into a dialogue centered on Jammie Holmes’s work, which anchors the campaign's visual language.

The series begins in Atlanta on November 13, continues in Washington, D.C. on November 16, and concludes in Houston on November 20, where Holmes will be present. Through his lens, themes of endurance, faith, and perseverance take shape, echoing the spirit of Built For This. Each event is a moment of gratitude, where art, movement, and storytelling move culture forward.

Release Details

The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 6 “Smoky Mauve” and the apparel capsule release Friday, November 21 at 12PM ET on a-ma-maniere.com and 11AM local time in-store at A Ma Maniére Atlanta, Houston, and D.C. The EQL online draw opens Tuesday, November 11, at 11AM ET and closes Monday, November 17, at 3PM ET across A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and JAIDE.
