More than a story and campaign, “While You Were Sleeping” is a cultural caper celebrating the power and influence of culture in every corner of the globe.
Premiering soon in theaters with a gripping universe and captivating characters anchoring an epic motion picture, the world of creatives playing a key role in the story and the setting of the movie’s universe form to deliver the powerful message and call to action resonating in every city and community: “Create At All Costs”.
From sights of A Ma Maniére Beach to a world connecting various global cities, the short film features appearances by globally-renowned creators, creatives and entrepreneurs Jae Tips, Nina Chanel, Hebru Brantley, Chris Gibbs, Angelo Baque, Guillaume Schmidt, Frank Cooker, Jennifer Ford, Julian Gaines, Jammie Holmes, Cam Kirk and Daniel Buezo and Mel Mitchell. At the heart of the story is the Creative Resource Agency (CRA), an entity that plays a central role in the plot tying all the characters together: the CRA is the agency that was created to actualize the concept of a “Black Tax” on minority creatives around the world, targeting those who are leading the creation of culture that influences society, including the movie’s characters. The short film will release soon in theaters with details to come.

The “While You Were Sleeping” movie and universe will arrive as part of A Ma Maniére’s 10-year celebrations, which have included a series of engaging social, digital, and in-store activations.
As we continue to build and unveil immersive experiences that honor our past while showcasing our vision of the future, the movie will join a list of projects already unveiled and more to come, including the recent opening of A Ma Maniére Beach in Folly Beach, SC and more.
In parallel to the journey is the release and unveiling of the “While You Were Sleeping” collection, the highly anticipated 10-Year anniversary collaborative collection with Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse. The special “While You Were Sleeping” collection features six iconic silhouettes reflecting a decade of cultural impact and commitment to classic, timeless luxury. In a landmark moment for the brand, this collection includes models from all Nike brands for only the second time in Nike Inc. history, with each exclusive and limited launch of the journey connected to video trailers leading up to the release of the “While You Were Sleeping” short film.
